Can you really get a car cheap for online auto auctions?

Unless your getting a hand me down from a family member it gets no cheaper then this. As long as you don't mind buying a car with minor or major damage. Insurance companies give a check to the owner for the car after the put a claim on it. Then the insurance company sells the car to make something back on it. Salvage titles will always be very cheap.

  3. Indeed! My family has gotten several cars from auto auctions and we fixed them up and sold them for wayyy more than we bought them for.

  4. Works out great for the people that shop around and take it slow when bidding on cars. I saw a 1987 corvette sell for $1900 and it runs and drives.

  7. Auctions lose many of their deals the more people know about them.

  17. The more damage it has and if it a salvage car the more chances its going to go REAL cheap. The key is looking for a salvage car with just body damage, You buy the car at a fraction of the blue book price. You can either fix it up and keep it or sell it and make a profit. Rinse and repeat.
